The Health franchise is looking for an Associate Marketing Director to help oversee all planning, creating and execution of marketing platforms and initiatives designed to generate advertising revenue for Health Magazine and Health.com. Candidate will be responsible for the development, management and execution of multi-platform proposals and custom programs ? primarily within for pharmaceutical and over-the-counter (OTC) categories.

Specific Job functions:
• Lead pharmaceutical and OTC integrated proposals and responses to RFPs.
• Write merchandising, marketing, category and sales materials for pharmaceutical category clients.
• Manage proprietary and syndicated research initiatives and projects; work closely with Time Inc Research and Insights department to analyze research data and develop compelling marketing stories.
• Liason with other marketing teams across Time Inc. Lifestyle Group as well as Time Inc. Corporate on large scale, cross-property pharmaceutical and OTC opportunities
• Track and update sales team on key pharmaceutical and OTC industry insights, trends and news, especially within digital media.
• Help develop pharmaceutical trade strategy including trade shows, trade advertising, promotion, event sponsorships, and e-mail campaigns.
• Attend client meetings to present integrated marketing concepts and research findings.
• Develop relationships with third party organizations and vendors to enhance arsenal of integrated marketing offerings for the brand.
• Supervise training and professional development of Associate Marketing Manager.

The ideal candidates will possess the following skills and experience:
• 8+ years in media marketing and sales development including 2 years in digital marketing.
• In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.
• Significant understanding of syndicated and proprietary research (MRI, MMR, AdMeasure, @plan, comScore, Omniture).
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Collaborative approach to partnership with the sales and editorial teams.
• Strong motivator with ability to conceptualize unique platforms on his/her feet.

The Integrated Marketing Manager reports to the Senior Integrated Manager. This person will execute advertising category and project-specific initiatives, including but not limited to advertorials, consumer events, merchandising, promotional programs and online efforts for People en Español magazine and PeopleEnEspanol.com

The manager will play an integral role in developing and maintaining integrated marketing materials, digital initiatives, promotions and programs for assigned advertising categories as well as manage a selection of the magazine’s core branded programs. The position of Integrated Marketing Manager combines creative “big” idea/platform creation, event execution and presentation skills in an effort to leverage the People en Español brand as a vital media partner.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Project management: Responsible for managing the daily workflow process including the prioritizing of presentations and follow-up on all materials delivered to sales partners
• Idea generation and program development: Work with sales and marketing colleagues to develop marketing materials for print, digital, event, retail and more to maximize advertising partnerships
• Category development: Support the Integrated Marketing team in the development of category-specific strategies
• Presentation development and execution: Work with various departments (i.e. strategic research department, online, creative services and events) to create compelling proposals, presentations and sell sheets
• Client Meetings: Accompany sales reps and/or marketing management on sales calls to present marketing platforms and client-specific opportunities
• Program Management: manage the fulfillment and execution of proposed sold concepts including advertorials, sweepstakes, contests, promotions, events, digital components, etc.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 4 years marketing experience, preferably in magazines, media or promotions
• The Manager should be a team player, self-starter who is also extremely innovative, creative, professional and resourceful
• Ideal candidate must be highly proactive, detail-oriented and posses exceptional organizational skills
• Knowledge of advertising sales, magazine marketing and entertainment marketing
• Background in proposal writing marketing materials and event/added-value execution

  • Manage ad hoc reporting and data requests through open SQL queries, working closely with IT to thoroughly understand table structures within the data environment

  • Directly manage workflow of external teams at various partners

  • Keep up on online legislation including CanSPAM and online privacy

  • Continuously analyze the current processes and optimize accordingly to improve productivity

Requirements:

  • Strong project management skills with 3-5 yrs experience managing IT and/or marketing related projects.
