Job Description

 

PEOPLE.com is currently looking for a highly creative and energetic Senior Manager of Digital Marketing to help generate and clearly articulate ‘big idea’ platforms for our advertisers.

Ideal candidate will be an exceptional writer with the ability to communicate big ideas through simple but engaging presentations. Clear understanding of digital media (units, capabilities, etc.) and how it’s sold is a must.

This position will report to the Executive Director of Digital Marketing and work closely with our Integrated Marketing, Sales Planning, and Production teams throughout the pre-sale process.

Responsibilities

 

  • ‘Big Idea’ Development – Generate creative and strategic marketing ideas that align with an advertiser’s objectives and leverage PEOPLE’s strengths, and provide value for our audience.

 

  • Presentation Development – Create show-stopping presentations that tell our brand story and creatively bring an idea (big or small) to life in a way that feels custom to each advertiser.
  • Client and Agency Meetings – Attend both agency and client meetings including media days, briefs, and pitches as needed.
  • Project Management – Communicate and collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Integrated Marketing and Digital Sales Planning to ensure timely submission of proposals and deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in digital marketing for a major publisher or brand
  • Strong knowledge of mobile, video, and social marketing capabilities
  • Experience executing a variety of digital marketing projects including ad units, sweepstakes, and websites
  • Expertise in creating stellar presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of research and analytics tools including @Plan, Comscore, Omniture, and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of standard performance metrics and online research studies including Dynamic Logic and Insight Express
  • Ability to lead the proposal development process from start to finish including brainstorms, collaborating with creative, integrated marketing, and planning teams
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize deadlines appropriately is a must

PEOPLE.com is currently looking for a highly creative and energetic Associate Director of Digital Marketing to lead the creative and proposal development process of ‘big idea’ platforms for our largest advertisers.
Ideal candidate will be a ‘big thinker’ and an ‘idea architect’ with a knack for simplifying complex ideas, storytelling and creating beautiful, clearly organized presentations. Clear understanding of digital media (units, capabilities, etc.) and how it’s sold is a must.

This position will report to the Executive Director of Digital Marketing and work closely with our editorial, legal, and technology teams throughout the development process for each idea.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience creating digital marketing programs at a major publisher
  • Ability to lead the proposal development process from start to finish including brainstorms, collaborating with creative, edit, legal, technology, and planning teams
  • Expertise in creating stellar presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Strong knowledge of mobile, video, and social marketing capabilities and how each piece can work strategically in a program
  • Experience executing a variety of digital marketing projects including ad units, sweepstakes, and websites
  • Knowledge of current digital and social marketing vendors and capabilities
  • Understanding of how to use research tools like @Plan and Comscore to position PEOPLE as the perfect partner

Associate Integrated Marketing Director – Seventeen Magazine November 12, 2014

Seventeen Magazine is seeking an Associate Integrated Marketing Director that will help increase advertising revenue by developing and writing integrated proposals for clients across all categories.

Responsibilities include:
·        Brainstorms “big ideas” for specific clients and new programs
·        Captains execution of high-visibility programs within or under budget
·        Supervises Seventeen’s multi-advertiser new media programs
·        Coordinates and executes multi-advertiser and custom events
·        Creates, manages and executes in-book sections including customized advertorials, special advertising sections, and multi-advertiser advertorials, including custom photo shoots
·        Implements/supervises integrated programs including but not limited to sweepstakes, contests, online and mobile programs, consumer events, etc.
·        Develops relationships with third party organizations and vendors to enhance Seventeen’s arsenal of integrated marketing offerings
·        Manages timelines, budgets and invoices for client programs
·        Services day-to-day requests of Sales staff/management (e.g., client history, event recaps, idea revisions, photo/documentation books, etc.)
·        Attends sales calls to present added value programs and ideas

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
·        7+ years of related experience
·        Must have 3+ years of experience developing and writing integrated proposals
·        Strong knowledge of and affinity for emerging trends in web, social media, and mobile
·        Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word (knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop a plus)
·        Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in both writing and speech (ability to write advertorial copy a plus)
·        Extremely creative with an understanding for altering ideas as necessary for limited resources
·        Must work well under time constraints, be detail-oriented, and be able to juggle multiple projects/priorities
·        Dynamic, outgoing personality with speaking/on-stage experience
·        Knowledge of/appreciation for Teen culture a plus
