Harper’s BAZAAR’s revamped Merchandising department seeks a new Senior Integrated Beauty Merchandising Manager who will be responsible for the strategy, development, and activation of integrated marketing and added-value programs across beauty categories.

Bookings Associate – Vogue, Editorial October 4, 2012

Overview/Purpose

Each month, the bookings associate oversees the hair, makeup, and manicurist scheduling for all Vogue and Vogue.com shoots and special events. He or she serves as a liaison between fashion editors, model agencies, and hair and makeup talent. In addition, the bookings associate is responsible for compiling the monthly special credits and negotiating budgets for all travel and incidental expenses for models, hair and makeup teams, and manicurists.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Oversees hair and makeup bookings for all Vogue and Vogue.com shoots, special events, and special bookings

· Meets with the fashion editor to discuss the direction and list of preferred hair, makeup, and manicure options for a photo shoot

· Compile monthly special credits list containing all hair, makeup, models, manicure, production, set design, and location credits

· Constantly update the editor and photographer on the list of hair and makeup options for a photo shoot

· Arrange travel, plan logistics, and cars for models, hair and makeup teams, and manicurists whenever necessary for all Vogue shoots

· Negotiate travel costs and request flight approvals, flight and hotel contributions when necessary

· Negotiate budgets for all travel and incidental expenses for models, hair and makeup teams, and manicurists for all Vogue shoots

· Distribute call sheets, travel itineraries, car confirmations to hair, makeup, and model agents

· Vet all invoices pertaining to models, hair and makeup teams, and manicurists for all shoots and events

· Ensure that hair and makeup credits and brand attachments are current

· Verify that production and special credits are correct on editorial layouts

· Request model releases for all editorial shoots to submit to rights and permissions

· Serve as a liaison between the rights and permissions department and model agents to secure additional usage for existing photographs

· Seek new hair and makeup talent

Requirements:

· In-depth knowledge of fashion models and photographers, hair and makeup talent, fashion news and personalities, trends, and history and familiarity with VOGUE

· Should be detail-oriented, able to work well under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines

· Must possess excellent communication and organization skills

· Must possess a keen awareness of current events

· Proficiency in the Microsoft suite and InDesign, among other programs

· Must be college graduate and have 1+ years of bookings experience
